Newly diagnosed and TURBT in December 2022.

Posted by DapDoxieMom @dapdoxiemom, Feb 7, 2023

My urologist did two TURBT surgeries. My follow up appointment was 1-25-23. I was diagnosed with Ta HG non muscle invasive. He did a chemo wash. He said I didn't need BCG treatments since they removed all the cancer and did the wash. I go back late April for a cystoscopy.
I'm a little concerned that he chose not to do the BCG treatments.

I’m learning too. I’m a HG t1 possible t2. Heading for radical cystectomy after a failed BCG. You are a Ta, no lamina invasion and your doc did a chemo wash to removed everything but the next cysto is very important and will tell the story. If he sees anything he will probably order the BCG. High Grade means don’t turn your back on it. Breathe for now but stay on it

Thank you. Reading so many others posts saying their doctor did BCG weeks after their second Turbt. So I was a little nervous that my doctor should have too.
I won't miss an appointment....I want to be here a long time yet to enjoy my family.
How long have you been dealing with your bladder cancer?
