Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?

Posted by sharho @sharho, Jul 7, 2022

I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I had Covid over 3 months ago… October 2022. I noticed a head tremor on day one of being sick. I’ve been to 4 doctors. It doesn’t happen when im resting and only certain times a day . After a few weeks I started feeling the internal tremors in my head and arms and shoulders… feels like I’m shaking but not visible. Sometimes they last for hours. Some days I feel fine and think it’s going away , but then it’s back the next day. The visible head tremor does seem to be less visible so I hope it all goes away. I tried taking antihistamines as some have suggested but they made me so sleepy… even the non drowsy ones. Some say theirs went away after a year so I’m hoping .

Hi @kolaca01. Have had different types of internal vibrations for about a year. Call them my waves. Have found for myself rest is crucial to lessen them. I only do “needed” tasks early am after decent night sleep and try to coordinate them when already up getting food, going to bathroom, etc. Rest between each time up and then try to really do no other tasks, even calls, after 4 as they take energy that dont seem to be able to make up during nights rest. Hope this helped and dont give up as you will see small improvement and within months will realize how much better you’re doing!!🙂

I have been the same, started after the vaccines and although it has settled now, still occurs from time to time.

I have internal vibrations/tremors/jolts only when I lie down, and mostly in my legs. I can see my legs jump from them. Occasionally I will have one in the torso area and it is much stronger.
I have had long Covid for a year now and all the symptoms I have had are getting weaker.

Hi @wccr1234. I am so sorry you are feeling and dealing at this level. I have been experiencing similar challenges for about a year and just want you to have light at end of tunnel. Just couple of months ago I felt hopeless and point in life I have never felt. I found thru many sources hearing similar situations and how they did find small steps of improvement leading to manageable daily symptoms, it has allowed hopeful view of future. Now say “Ive got this” when harder symptoms and focus on any sign of new or worsening symptom to treat my body with healing grace and rest at least few minutes before getting up for even the simplest task. It has helped and realistic expectation need months not weeks to recuperate easier to just focus day to day. Hope this helped!🙂
