How common is POTS after long COVID exposure?
I’m having trouble understanding my current medical symptoms and situations in general. I was really sick on October 2021 but nose swab was negative all the time even at the ER. This last month I decided to get a blood test and it was high. I just wanted to know if my recent HSD and POTS could be a result of a hyper immune reaction to the virus or if that blood work even means that I had it at one point. My last booster was way more than a year ago cuz was the second one. So I’m still trying to understand all my symptoms and how my health has significantly detriment. I also had history of NET cancer so I’m just in a dark throwing darts 🎯 to see and hoping one soul would take me seriously enough to run deeper investigation on my case to really help my health. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻🌼

This is how my watch looks as well, Im currently wearing a Zip monitor for 14 days though a cardiologist. Do you notice the increase in heart rate with physical symptoms as well?
I have the heart rate the dizziness/vertigo? the ringing on my ears when the blood flow it’s less or high I don’t really know, the bowel issues like they are slowing down or suddenly getting motility waves, intolerance to temperature, molted skin/red purple mesh on legs when standing, pale fingers Raynuds Syndrome or something like that, etc. I just don’t understand how POTS can affect multiple functions, I mean it falls under the umbrella of Dysautonomia ☂️ (Disfunction of the Autonomic System) but I still think in my case there’s something else going on cuz my breathing and my swallowing it’s also being impaired. I’m not a doctor but I’m a very involved patient in my health. If you feel comfortable, How was everything for you after this test? Hope everything went ok. Blessings and healing ❤️🩹
Any updates how are you doing?
@angieb16 hello thanks for checking! I’m currently holding on. I was supposed to see a neurologist of movement specialist and a geneticist that works in this area of neurology but couldn’t pay upfront cuz my insurance was dropped from the ones MY take… I had a laparoscopy and my bowels were full of adhesions, had stage 4 endometriosis extra pelvic, I was placed a IUD and pathology showed bad cells on my endometrium and cervix… got BV and inflammation around my heart sack and lungs, they said I had chest compression to heart as well…I need more OBGYN surgeries and my ANA test was positive since March but the subsections ANA where negative and my pulmonologist said recently using the old test results I need to see rheumatologist but I already did and the test were negative but the other inflammation markers were high. I have no idea what is going on I’m not sure if I’m fighting something autoimmune or cancer spread. I’m being monitored and assessed by OBGYN oncologist and general oncologist and thoracic surgeon. I’ll do my tumor markers tomorrow and an abdominal MRI February 24. Praying everything would turn out fine 🙏🏻🤍 Blessings of healing ❤️🩹 and health to all 🫶🏻
I'd suggest periodically searching in PubMed (open to the public) on this topic to keep abreast of recent scientific peer-reviewed findings. For example, there's the 2022 paper by Blitshteyn & Fedorowski in "Nature: Cardiovascular Research," entitled "The risks of POTS after COVID-19 vaccination and SARS-CoV-2 infection: it’s worth a shot." This study reports findings on the incidence of POTS following COVID-10 infection & COVID-19 (mRNA) vaccination.
Omg girl you have a lot going on…I’ve been having some long covid symptoms oh so I believe I had covid bad back in Aug 2021 but nothing came of it after and then got covid Dec 2022 and after that 2 weeks later started having heart palpitations and high heart rate at night just like you but I been to ER twice and my PCP told me I had a UTI and PCP gave me the worse antibiotic to clear I only took 5 day course and saw a cardiologist and had a heart monitor for 24hrs and cardiologist told me it was nothing to worry about then I went to new PCP and did another EKG test told me it was showing signs of PVC and referred me to a new cardiologist I have my appt on Wed and see what he says and what test he will run do you still have high heart rate?
@angieb16 I’m waiting for a cardiopulmonary stress test of my pulmonologist and yes my heart it’s significantly high when lil exertion. Hope they don’t what’s going on with this one you. 🙏🏻🤍
That sucks…I hope they find what it’s triggering it…this feeling is horrible I am even scared to go to sleep because of me waking up with a high heart rate and it scares me I have very high anxiety cuz of it
