Anyone using wearable devices to track and manage long Covid?
I had a neuro appointment at Northwestern U this week. Besides logging my symptoms every day, they can now link to Fitbit, Apple Watch, etc.
Some articles quote people saying it gave early warning signs or taught them to modify behaviors .
I’ve only used a Fitbit in the past to track jogging distance.
Dos anyone have experience with using a wearable device to help manage long Covid? Thanks- I’m just starting to research.

Where can you find the info on how to follow the gut/liver cleanse? Is there a book or a site you followed on line?
Restoring gut microbiome is crucial to well being and reducing inflammation. Good for you!!!
I have post Covid POTS. I use a FitBit to track my heart rate and it has been really helpful. I have gotten used to how higher heart rates feel and I don’t always notice a heart rate spike until it’s too late. The FitBit has been a great resource to help me respond safely to my symptoms.
Thanks for expressing your feelings about how the Covid epidemic has been mishandled in the USA. I had a mild case initially in early December and 8 weeks later, still experiencing fatigue, occasional dizziness and some tachycardia. I have to wait another 4 weeks to try to get into Scripps Long Covid Clinic. I am so distressed by the attitude of our representatives in Washington and our president. They now have declared that the threat from Covid is mostly "over." Ask those of us who have Post Covid Syndrome how much it is over. Human nature seems to put us in a state of denial. The economy is more important than anything, of course. Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get this out.
Thank you for your comments! I have been thinking the same. Millions of people suffering from Long Covid and our president and Congress is in denial!!
I have even read in a scientific report that so many suffering from Long Covid might be one of the reasons for the recent labor shortage.
F(41), primary infection Jan 2022, PASC since late Feb 2022.
Over the last 8 weeks, I’ve been using my Garmin Fenix 6S (I was marathon training in the lead up to my infection) with HRV and heart rate tracking as useful metrics for understanding pacing & managing my exertion to remain within my energy envelope. I also had to demand beta blockers from my PCP to begin to manage any upright activity as my heart rate would spike 30-70 bpm > RHR and not relent, just by simply getting out of bed. I’m in a Facebook group called “Beat Long COVID With a Smart Watch” which has been invaluable in helping me establish how to begin utilizing the information I get from my Garmin.
Lovely that we must crowdsource this information for ourselves since the US healthcare system is rooted in neither health nor care.
