Just finished docetaxel, 6 sessions, I’m 47 and effect’s were mild, no stomach issues, no major loss of hair, I had: fatigue, some hair thinning, and minor numbness on tip of hand fingers.
My recommendation: be super careful with meals after each treatment for the next 3 days. Drink LOTS is water, start day BEFORE and after (this was the hardest part for me), refrain from getting into crowded spaces (COVID style measures) your defenses will be going down.
In my case was tolerable, hoping that you have the same experience

Why chemo Get Zolodex injections and on Xtandi or Enzalutamide 4 pills a day to stop testosterone the fertilizer of pC Radiation if possible
Hopefully My Docy' Chemo days are being me. 6 cycles. Drink lots of water. My food intake was minimal. Family still recalls my diet was basically Mac'Cheese, deli turkey with apple slices. Dropped 50lbs, weak, fragile, limited mobility. Chemo is 19 months behind me now. I'm back to normal and a better version of myself.
Just be careful with meals for day of treatment and next 3 / 4 days..nothing fried, dairy (cheese/milk), careful with raw saladas / raw food: take instead grilled chicken breast / chicken soup..baked / boiled potato, boiled carrots....etc.
1 tip most likely your husband will get Neulasta after each treatment, starting 24 hours after each treatment and for the next 7 - 10 days , take Claritine / antiallergic every day and Tylenol as needed. it is magic, I did not took it 1st cycle and everything was hurting me (that is OK m, doctor told me, that is your body regenerating white blood cells) the antiallergic and Tylenol are magic they disappear the hurt on the back / legs / hips...(which is where white blood cells are produced) ask the doctor just in case.

My husband was on ADT n Abiraterone n prednisone for 5 years (prob. too long) till 2 Dec they stopped working n urologist transfering us to oncologist ... bad bad situation we are in ... only God can change it ...
But we still do our best

Our govt covers it Medical Onc monitors PSA monthly Im 78 PC nuked in L 2 lumbar 2 years ago but slowly returning in other spinal areas

Looking for people who have had Docetaxel and are willing to share their experience.
Hi there my husband is in the same journey ... he will get his oncologist doctor consulting him on 13 Feb ... that's why I stay home and care for him ... make sure he is strong enough for this chemicals called docetaxel ... hopefully not that bad ... if you are young, I think you will be very OK !
