Can Neuropathy be cured?

Posted by catstx @catstx, Sep 8, 2021

I’ve had P. neuropathy for 30 years. Just recently I’ve better controlled my blood sugar. So, I’m wondering if Neuropathy ever goes away, Or, if once the nerves are dead they’re just dead

The nerves grow back every year in small amounts if they are severed but most plastic surgeons can take nerve tissue and "supercharge" a repair. But most people with neuropathy need surgery if just one neuropathy to try at least to wrap nerve to enable gliding or neuromodulation if many areas of nerve pain suggesting nerve disease vs entrapment.

I will check it out. Hopefully, there are other pharmaceutical companies doing research too.

I have hope that one day there will be a treatment developed to make our nerves happy, at the moment it is up to us. There was a lecture a several months ago that was excellent. The lecturer spoke about what we can do to help our neuropathy. I will try to post it, if not I will ask John. If you can read my other posts, they mention all that I have done to make my nerves happy!

I don’t think it will go away. From what I’ve been told is that we can calm it but one Dr. told me they don’t know what causes it!!!???

Chris @artscaping has found that MFR helps her. One of the causes of neuropathy is compression of the nerves and I believe MFR can help if that is one of the causes of your neuropathy.

I’m a big believer in MFR Therapy. It cured a whiplash. That was when I was living in CO, now in Houston and haven’t found anyone here.

Wish there's a cure...I have paresthesia of both arms extending to my fingers. Thought it's due to poor circulation when I lay on one side while asleep. Wakes me up; moving them seems to help; have to wake up every so often to move my arms & fingers. Learning to live with it. Now my left outer thigh gets numb. Also living with it. Unsure if there's a cure. Went to a neurologist who poked & poked my extremities' skin; didn't help. Now am living with paresthesia of both upper extremities & numbness of my L outer thigh. I'd be willing to participate in a clinical trial, if there's any, so findings could help others. One thing I do to manage my problem is by doing exercises for my arms/fingers, self massage on my L outer thigh, and walking. They seem to help!

I am not in the States. Do you know if there is a different locator to figure out whether there is a MFR expert in my country i.e Pakistan? Thank you for your continued support
