Stage 3 Kidney Disease and Diet: What can I eat?
It seems there is very little you can eat that is healthy for the Kidneys. The web site Davida has plenty of food on it but contradicts what other sources say. Anyone know anything for breakfast, lunch and dinner that does not have any sugar or flour bodies the obvious boring or bland foods good for Kidneys and I’m allergic to sugar of any kind of sweetener and flour. Thank you.

It WAS you! Thanks! Got it. Yes, the ground was fatty. I'll go for the cubed. Yes, 55 to 75. Prostate enlargement issue backed up to the kidneys.
Thank you @sammyloue

Did the prostate get better yet?
No change in size. It will be an operation. I guess I'm on a "need to know" and need to be assertive. Maybe tell them all that I'm "documenting this for a youtube channel" for the sake of security? LOL!
It holds at 99cc. I could have taken higher doses of saw palmetto. Until I see the surgeon? I'm guessing, Sounds cray cray, I know- I don't know what to say. Be sure, I'm terrified, I'll keep posting. I make it cool to be afraid here, others can too. I'm afraid, I go forward. I need your help too. Watch my back, and I'll do the same.
Sammy loue. Check the sugar content on that raisan bran. If you're looking for a healthy low sugar breakfast consider low sugar oatmeal with almond milk and a couple of strawberries. Johnmacc
Beets are pure sugars.... Do you want to eat this as a diabetic??
@jkluv7 Good question!
There seems to be some varying opinions from what I could glean from reliable sources.
From consumerreports.org, their statement about beets and the sugar in them compared to a cookie seems to make sense: https://www.consumerreports.org/healthy-eating/are-beets-good-for-you/
From the Diabetes Care Community, comes some great information, and tips for storing beets properly: https://www.diabetescarecommunity.ca/diet-and-fitness-articles/diabetes-diet-articles/time-to-bring-on-the-beet-to-your-diabetes-diet/
Are you following a diabetic meal plan? If so, does it include beets at this time? I have never acquired a taste for beets, but it might be time to start!

@gingerw
If you eat beets eat the tops too.
I didn’t like regular beats so started out eating pickled beets then migrated to the regular ones.
As @imallears says (more or less) you need to be more adventurous, wishing your constraints, of course. Can you eat candy?
Jake
Yes, I think my 2023 meal plan will include beets! And the tops.
Can I eat candy? Yes. Chocolate is pretty much a no-no or very little, given my renal diet. due to phosphorous content. And to your horror, I am not a big fan of chocolate anyway! My favorite candy is Good-N-Plenty, but licorice is not recommended for a renal diet, so I treat myself only once in a while to it.
Here is what DaVita says about candy for CKD patients. You know we just gotta have something sweet once in a while! https://www.davita.com/diet-nutrition/articles/advice/kidney-friendly-candy-for-dialysis-patients

"Super Beets" Is not a vegetable but a supplement to ones diet that is advertised on Television. I'm receiving responses that have more to do with the vegetable which has a high sugar content. Is there anyone familiar with the "Super Beets" supplement.
@gingerw
I’m definitely gonna have to take care of my kidneys that’s for sure.
