Conflicting advice on exercise
I was told exercise must be weight bearing and impact like walking dancing and marching in place. This says weight bearing but easy on the impact.

Is weight bearing but not impact ok? My knees would appreciate that.

Hi Sheila..You most likely cant access yet, as once you sign up, it takes 7 days to access the first part of the program. They have a very specific process, step by step so people dont get overwhelmed. they help you prioritize what you need to focus on first, relative to your issues because everyone is different. Once you start the process it makes sense, but basically you have to experience it to understand why they have this system in place. I tried to send a private message but it wont let me maybe because im new here it takes a few days to be able to access that.
Thanks
I hurt my knee working on the machine where you press both feet against a plate. My doctor said he has seen compression fractures from that machine. The only science they have was done by them and not a third party.
Sheila...are you able to go to the section where there is replays of the live Zoom calls?
I don't know. I'm waiting until I take the tour to start looking for anything because I can be lost forever otherwise 😊😂
Hi Sheila...
The reason I ask is you can listen to the replays of the Zoom calls, one of them is diet/nutrition calls with the nutritionist (they are all really informative and interesting) and at least get started watching some of the replays. If you want help navigating it send me a private message and I will give you my contact information so i can explain it more in detail. i actually watched a lot of the replays before I had that initial meeting, so if you chose the option with Live Zoom calls you should already have access to the replays. Otherwise if you want to wait no problem at all i totally understand!!
Thank you so much!
Sorry about your knee. I had a spinal fracture. The osteoporosis organization does not endorse OsteoStrong.
Are there many people who have had broken bones and could not have surgery until their bones were stronger? I slipped and fell in Sept 2021 and had a Burst Compression Lumbar I Fracture along with a couple of other things. I have started Evenity and hope that my bones are strong enough to get surgery after 12 shots. Now it is Dec 2022 and I feel that the shots are helping as I feel stronger. Hoping to get surgery in Aug or Sept 2023. Right now, I still can't stand over five mins at a time. The surgeon said that my spine can't support the rest of my body. Anyone else had this problem?
