What do gastrin levels mean?

My computer or certain TV shows and my husband and son. I was just talking to someone in my b12 deficentcy group on Facebook she is the second that said elevated gastrin levels usually mean precious anemia been talking to someone that has it having second thoughts about this gi I waited so long to see he is against b12 Injections and that's what I need now precipitous anemia you need b12 Injections for life so be interesting what they will say toe when they call back. You'd think they would have been more concerned. I had to wait 2 weeks for a response about my concern over my bloodwork my husband had to call. I gave them leeway for the Thanksgiving holiday no I have doubts over everything about him he said all my other antibody bloodwork was normal but was it? I see new pcp next week mYbe I should go over it with him this gi said endoscope every 5 yrs I thought that was too long this person I talked to said every 3 yrs due to the small chance of gastric cancer. I dint like having these doubts again he is my 3rd gi

I also have pernicious anemia and the B12 issue and the gastrin issue and get yearly biopsies of my stomach. If you ever want to bounce issues or ideas off each other, add me and we can chat! take care and you are nto alone. I feel alone and scared all the time!

You might be the perfect person to answer some questions I have my quack of a gi said endoscope every 5 yrs no I didn't like that maybe you can help me as far as my gastrin level dr just dropped the ball again not o ly do I have to try to find a new gi but I might file a complaint against this one.

so your saying high gastrin may be cancer? i had 3 caring people in my b12 group say percious anemia. are you saying 153 is not all that high? well i got a message from this GI last night and i really feel his tone was uncalled for saying how much time he spent with me and my issues were not "medically urgent" my gastrin level was mild and not of concern of and my focus needs to be on my mental health and my weight. oh yes my weight thats why the quack referred me to the weight center and kept saying "surgery" umm, i dont think so im not having with all my other issues having weight loss surgery. i have his message i have my lab work lab work he is irritated with me about he said i needed to forget my lab work sure ill forget how dangerously low my iron and ferritan and b12 is ill forget how i want to collapse how i dont have the attention for anything but sleeping. diagnosos it aint gonna come from him im already upset. you just made it worse goodbye

Hi I am very new here I got a Gastrin level of 704, when I was in the hospital at UW . When I got out. My Doctor has done nothing about it. I am 61 year old. One thing I have to say is that I don’t look my age at all everyone thinks I am in my 40’s and that is so funny because my daughter just turned 40 on the 19th of September. . I know that has nothing to do with my levels , but know one takes me serious. It is starting to make me mad. When I see the level should only be between 0/100, I have no clue what this could mean? They did two colonoscopy within a week of each other the first one they missed a couple that are the type of mushroom like ones that are flat and then some other ones, and then they did a EDG on me that was the first one with the first colonoscopy. then I ended up going in the hospital myself because my doctor is just kind of not gonna say what he is but he’s not giving me any answers. He had my EDG scheduled for January 13, 2026. Hosack gonna help me the reason why I’m having these test is because I’ve lost 20 pounds in three weeks and I’m getting no answers because the test that they did the hospital all came back ok. So sad.. a lot of like the bloodwork and stuff like that are off but I have no clue this to what it means or anything and they’re not telling me anything. My doctor wants to see me on the 25th and I’ve been out of the hospital and my test results have been back for quite some time. I got out of the hospital on the 11th because it was a weekend and all the beds were full. I was on the bone floor that’s because my daughter got me in there. She’s good like that and the doctor that I had they gave me four different doctors to see that are really good and he knows my doctor, joke might be on me? but my husband had that EG on the 19th and it was the same doctor that did my first one and she said she wanted to see me cause I had lost a lot more weight since she had seen me and my doctor has not even put the request in for it so I’m kind of at a loss with him. Any answers for any of this? I can tell you the blood results that didn’t come back right but right now I’m really tired. It’s 2:19 here a.m..
