AQUAGENIC PRURITUS, Hello Frank, i cut out sugars and sweets totally and increased my salt intake, within the first week i felt a good change, and it continued to slowly improve, and about 3 months later that stinging prickling itch became a thing of the past but if i eat incorrectly it will start to come back, check with your doctor and get started on this plan today !

@freehealth I hv the same condition. What works for me is bathing in very warm water. Never cold water. I avoid scrubbing my skin as this increases the itch. I dont bathe in rivers or where the river meets the sea as this too, increases the itch. I avoid walking in rain. I stick to cotton outfits. The winter isnt a friendly time of the year for me. I avoid coats cardigans etc. I avoid buses and trains as the seats also cause me to itch. I stay away from damp mouldy and ir dirty unkept places. Since I know my triggers I avoid them as best as I can. Heat helps me alot. I blow dry my skin, powder it, or use a soft brush to scratch. The brush doesnt really help. I take quick showers. If I stay too long in the shower, I itch. And that's my life for 32 years
