Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?

Posted by sharho @sharho, Jul 7, 2022

I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I got covid in august 2021. Along with many symptoms the internal vibrations were odd. At first it was intermittently in my abdomen, it went away for a few months then came back from head to toe so loud inside my body like a bathroom fan was on and humming inside me and this lasted 2 months. It was gone for 4 months and is now back again. I have no idea what triggers it or why it goes away but my neurologist recommended that topirimate which in research does say it stops it but for me it intensified it. I have to sleep with a white noise machine so I do not go crazy listening to the buzzing in me. I hope there’s a solution soon.

Hi anyone has internal vibration and internal tremors after covid?
Mine began under my feet and spread into my whole body incl my head.
Feels like electricity buzzing, humming inside and someone is violently pushing and pulling me inside. Been 2yrs now with no help.

Wow that sounds just like me. I started with the sensations May 5, 2022 and actually got Covid June 6, 2022. I feel it might be from the vaccines as I had terrible reactions to 3 of Moderna. Was in bed for 2 days with flu like symptoms after each one. It started out from my feet up with buzzing and vibrating all thru the body. It would come and go for hours at a time, sometimes at night I would have to get up and sit in a chair because I just couldn’t lay down. Seven months out after wearing heart monitor and seeing a neurologist for MRI of brain and extensive blood work they came up with restless less syndrome, which I know is not the problem. I still get buzzing, tremors and muscle spasms in my legs and arms at night mostly. My legs feel very weak also when this is happening. It’s a mystery for sure never experienced anything like this in my 78 yrs. The only thing that makes me feel better is that is slowly going away.

I read the initial post and all the responding comments. Female, 70 in Dec., covid 10-14-2022.very short, very mild case. Post covid? Sucks. More bizarre symptoms the more time passes but will try to stick to the point(Brain fog makes this VERY hard). I've had full body buzzing for a long time. The medical community were not helpful, misdiagnosis and rxs I tried, but didn't help. It's got to be the worst job on the planet. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be for Drs, keeping up with all the new drugs and trying to treat their patients as individuals. So... I am an herbal gal except for thyroid meds. I haven't figured out how to treat it herbally without nearly killing myself, back burner for now.
What I have figured out from having covid, being unable to even LOOK at a pill for at least a month is this.
ASHWAGANDHA is without a doubt the most amazing herb on this planet. Keep in mind that entire month I was NOT able to take my supplements. When I started having post covid stuff( including the body buzzing) the first herb I re-introduced to my system was Ashwagandha. As soon as I worked my way back to my usual dose the body buzzing slowly went away. Yep. GONE! It has also helped with most of my symptoms. I don't think it helps with new aural migraines since they showed up fairly recently BUT maybe it could be worse without it. Consult somebody, your Dr. if they are herbally savvy. If not, maybe you have a local herbalist you can talk to.
Best Wishes, Renee

Same here and I’m 83. Got Covid Oct 25. Tremors and vibrations and feeling something moving around inside? Sounds weird, but true. Trying to stay active, but intestinal problems too.

I'm not sure what this is and how to get rid of it. Someone said they had bed rest 6mths and it went away.

I doubt the 6 months bed rest got rid of the tremors?? I'm hoping they gradually disappear on their own.

I am also experiencing a vibration this is somewhat new
I had covid a year ago in January
I am also experiencing
Dizziness and migraines
I get relief when I walk my dogs or am moving
But that’s a challenge
Because of exhaustion
I have seen a neurologist he has given me meds that have caused other issues
I also am so sore and my joints hurt
I’ve had to sets of injections which helped the first time 6 months ago
But not the last time
I’ve tried NAD infusions and so many anti inflammatory supplements
I’ve tried vestibular pt
And pt for my elbows
My memory is scaring me
Forgetting mid sentence what I’m saying

I’d love to know all of your symptoms and if you are getting any answers or relief

I have long Vaccine injury - almost 8 months - never covid (I was tested) - but the Covid booster sent my thyroid into shock and my immune system into over drive. I have (had) many of the same long covid symptoms including the internal vibration - and one can only understand that feeling if you have had it - it's bizarre and unsettling. I too wake up with a 'buzz' and when I lay down to sleep I have to do 'calming' things to settle myself. I had horrible blood pressure spiking for 7 months, finally able to wean off the beta blockers. After having so many Western doctors think I was nuts, I've turned to alternative approaches - reiki and meditation and starting with a new person next week who helps you work with your own autonomic nervous system. The vibration and tinnitus are pretty much my remaining symptoms - the hardest to get rid of. Anything that distracts the ANS is helpful - tapping, pressure points, ice pack, etc.

Hi , I can't tell you how relieved I am to have just found your post!
I started having the same distressing internal tremors as you following my third (booster) Covid vaccine. It's worse when I first wake up but can also occur during the day.
My GP prescribed beta blockers which I took for five months - the tremors didn't abate so I discontinued them (I also experienced hair loss as a side effect of the BBs)
My short term memory has deteriorated and I get dry scratchy eyes.
In addition, I had all three covid jabs in my left arm and now have trouble with my shoulder joint.
Yes , I know I'm aging like everyone else but I've gone from being a fit and active, reasonably intelligent woman , to one who is always fatigued and plagued by these awful tremors inside my body. I constantly hold my hands out in front of me because I can't believe I'm not physically shaking on the outside when the tremors are at their worst.
Whilst I realise that health care professionals argue that the benefits of Covid vaccine outweigh the risks; I really hope and pray that more in depth research will be carried out to investigate the side effects that people like us are suffering.
Thank you for sharing and I really hope we can both feel better in the near future.
Ps: I didn't contract Covid either (did numerous tests).

I am so sorry you are going through this - it's a depressing and isolating debilitation that the people around you cannot fathom. Tomorrow will be ONE YEAR since my booster and not one day symptom free. That being said - I'm doing a lot better - learning to function through whatever charges through my body. I don't want to lose any more life to this no matter how difficult some days are. I've just started doing LED Light Therapy and it seems to be helping. After the first session, it really took the edge off the burning stinging feeling in the back of my head (I had 3 squares of LED lights wrapped around my head and one 3 square down the center of my body). I'm hopeful this will kill off the activated dormant viruses floating around. I am also still electrolyte chugging. I rest when I need to. I take a lot of supplements (B, C, D, K, zinc, resveratol, tumeric, magnesium, liposomal glutathione the liquid kind). Lucky to have found a functional doctor who is very supportive and he gives great recommendations so you aren't using the wrong type of supplementation. Lastly, lots of self talk - sounds nuts - but I've been working with different healers in different ways and acknowledging the pain, the vibrations, and all the other crappy symptoms strangely works - acknowledging them, sitting with them, and then telling yourself over and over you don't need this protection anymore (because that's what is happening right? Your body is over charged and over fighting). I know none of this is in your head or mine - but our brain / body connection is quite powerful. I wish you the best and please know you are not alone and I have no idea why no one is talking about this - we are the hidden casualties of the pandemic. I've yet to be strong enough to figure out what to do about that. Reach out if you have any questions or need support.

I have had the internal vibration symptom on and off for years, before having Long Covid. It happens when I’m exhausted and running on stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. When I wake up with the vibrations, I know I am too tired out and need to get extra rest to calm and restore my nervous system. I use a supplement called Cortisol Manager, and also magnesium, to help manage stress.
