I was advised by my doctor to get the procedure too and I was wondering why there's no other alternatives like drops or any medication first. I am contemplating of doing it but she said I will go blind if I don't do it!

I wasn't told about drops! It was either yag laser or cataract. I had no symptoms either but was afraid of a random event that could lead to blindness at some point. My yag surgery was Nov 14th and I've had pain in either or both eyes almost every other day or so since. I'm going along just fine for a day or so then out of nowhere the light sensitivity starts and I pretty much know it's going to be hours of a day long event. Pain behind the eye/s. Achy, throbbing, sore to the touch, even ear and sinuses become involved... Does anyone else experience being cold? Slight nausea? I know the nausea is one of the symptoms to see the doctor but bring/having type 2 diabetes, this is typical for me due to some of the meds. Anyway, I'm happy and blessed to have had a great Thanksgiving day... Last night and today? Not so good. God bless and prayers!
