For my pain it makes it much worse. But then that's common for headache's reaction to CBD and THC. But my friend swears it helps her neuropathy in her feet. Literature says it's like 50-50 for migraine.
I have neuropathy as my major source of chronic pain. Make sure not to take too much. I take like a quarter inch of an eye dropper. Tinctures are concentrated and only a small amount is needed to block pain in your CBD receptors.

I think dehydration from many things can cause headaches. A hot shower seems to clear help clear the head, old salves get removed so your skin can breath. I leave topicals on for over 24 hours often. I believe they last that long. Drink lots of water!
You’re the only one who can find that out…everybody is different, I’ve heard “helps a lot”…& I’ve heard “helps a little”. Personally, it’s relaxing…for a short time, then almost gets worse afterwards…that’s why I refrain
I smoke very little now, and find that it doesn’t last for pain relief as well. I imagine it depends on your age or condition. I like a puff if I am depressed now and then. Any smoke restricts arteries and air passages.

Hi there, folks, this is an interesting discussion and can be helpful. However, we must realize that not only are all of us different with unique responses to different forms of cannabis but also more research is being done daily so that we can learn more about things like "the Entourage Effect" (see below). That just gives you an idea of how the cannabis elements may work together for a better outcome. AND.....That is why legalization is important. It ensures that regulations are employed to assure the safety and consistency of cannabis products.
What you can recognize is that the "best" may still be waiting to be discovered. After 10 years I tend to know what generally works for me......and yet I still have had to make changes frequently. Sometimes my daytime dosage works better for me at night and vice versa. Stay informed, Read scientific research results on sites like "The CBD Project", or "Leafly".
Unless you have a cannabis pharmacist provided by your dispensary you are essentially on your own.....you are your own prescriber.
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

I have painful arthritis in right shoulder and lumbar stenosis and sacroiliitis all very painful. I would do just about anything and have for some relief. Tried the marijuana thing with mixed results. It's also a learning curve. At first, I did get some anxiety relief and a little physical pain relief. However, the other feeling that came with it, the tiredness made it a no go for me. I tried the CBD gummies. Again, some relief nothing great. I learned that there were different variety's/ kinds of marijuana, so I tried again with what is known as sativa. I tried it and was surprised that it does help a lot. Also did not get the tiredness experienced with the other kind. I still don't like the smoking part or the smell really and have found it does help to filter it through Ice Water. I am going to try some more gummies mixed CBD and THC and see how that works. P.S. Yes, I have been to Pain Management and Physical Therapy and Dr this and that and taken Celebrex, Motrin, diclofenac, lidocaine, duloxetine, muscle relaxers etcetera, all have side effects and do very little for the pain.

The entourage effect is best. Another term is whole plant from stem to seed. Even hemp prefer Stanley brothers helped my pain 100 percent. But then some pain came back. As Chris said new methods of extracting better products come all the time. More or less, what ever works on your specific pain. It is all Good! Be kind to self!

I've never tried marijuana for pain but I use hemp oil when I have trouble sleeping that I take a couple of drops of and it knocks me out every time.
