Neuropathy post-Covid infection: Is there treatment that helps?
Since having Covid in Jan. of 2021, I have had constant numbness and joint stiffness in my feet. Is there a treatment or therapy to help with this? Is there a study researching this kind of problem in Covid long haulers? I had an ultrasound checking the blood circulation in my legs and everything was fine.

What nerve friendly vitamins/supplements are you taking?
Hi @tulsanicole, Here's the post by @dp33 that lists the nerve friendly vitamins and supplements they take - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/725746/.
You can also find a complete list of vitamins under the Supplements for Neuropathy section of the document on the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy website here:

Thank you!
I had a stabbing pain on my right arm today from the nerve pain and almost had a car accident. My University of Iowa long Covid doctor told me that I have a really serious long Covid issue because I’m losing muscle in multiple areas and is recommending me to go see a neurologist at Mayo Clinic. It has been three weeks already and I haven’t heard anything yet. Please let me know how I could get look at faster at Mayo Clinic. It has been painful and I need help,
@annt100, I'm sorry that it's been 3 weeks and you haven't heard back from Mayo Clinic. If it were me, I think I would give the Mayo Clinic Rochester appointment number a call and check the status or your doctor's referral.
507-538-3270 -- 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Central time, Monday through Friday)
You can also try setting up an appointment online here - http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.
Have you checked with your doctor to verify that they sent a referral to Mayo Clinic?
I’ll check with my doctor. Thank you
I know this message is nearly one year old and I hope your problems have now resolved.
In the responses no one seems to have mentioned the possibility of you having developed Plantar Fasciitis which would likely have developed coincidentally to any vaccines.
Oral corticosteroids can relieve PF but certainly doesn’t resolve it until generic or customised shoe supports are implemented.
Aside from severe bilateral Plantar Fasciitis I have Peripheral Neuropathy in both feet and now severe osteoarthritis in the feet and elsewhere…..so I do understand foot pain.
I'm here looking for answers as I have apparent neuropathy in my feet and jumpy twitches constantly in my calves. Nerve conduction test and mri and physical tgerapy-my Dr is saying he is leaning towards nerve problems due tothe spike protein on Covid. I don't know what to do. My feet feel like blocks of ice, or shooting vibrations with sometimes sharp hot pains .
