First time on this discussion board!
For reference of medical care, I’m in the Dallas, Tx area.
I’m still in planning of care stage.
I’m 59.
Heart Transplant recipient Dec 2021 (very recent)
4.6 psa
MRI first due to lowered immunity
Biopsy came back as 3+4=7
7/14 positive, 3)3+4 4)3+3
MRI and Bone Scan shows no spread outside seminal vessel
Beginning stage of interviewing Dr’s for treatment
I feel most Dr’s push for type of treatment that their good at…..
I’m on the fence as to ADT Lupron injection. I’ve been advised 4 month shot to ensure no micrscopic cells, but reading side effects cause me concern.
No mention yet by any Dr of performing a PSMA Pet scan.
We didn’t get PSMA Pet until looking at recurrence, prior CT and Bone scan.. We are also Gleason 9 at RP.. I know insurance wants to see the steps of intervention first and the threat of Gleason score severity
I was 72 when the biopsy came back positive, Gleason of 4-3, PSA 13.5. Had 3 previous biopsy's done with negative results. Mayo Rochester was the only one who found the cancer.

PSA-29, Age-52
Gleason after biopsy 4+4=8
Robotic Radical Prostatectomy on 8/18/2022
Gleason after prostatectomy- 4+3=7
Will get first PSA test middle of November; fingers crossed.
My PSA escalation was dramatic. I was 67 when my PSA went from 22 to 100+ in the span of a two months. Diagnosis is advanced stage 4. A month of Radiation, 6 rounds of Chemo, currently on Eligard + Abiraterone. I've made it to age 69. Living on nerves and feelings.
2.74 age 71, but actually had misdiagnosed primary prostate as early as age 65 with PSA under 2
Was being treated for BPH and had been on Avodart and finasteride since age 62.
There is a doubling factor that was ignored until 2018 when my urologist down South caught it and finally did a biopsy. Gleason 8 stage T3b
Age 67. Biopsy Gleason scores 4+4/8, PSA 6.4. Not metabolized according to biopsy. Blood pressure prevented me from having surgery so went the Lupron/radiation route. 6 months after 1st Lupron PSA was undetectable. Had second Lupron in July. Next blood work due in Dec.
PSA-5.7
Age-68
Gleason score after trans-perineal biopsy 4+3=7
Hypofractionated photon beam radiotherapy over 3 weeks
Started ADT with Orgovyx the week after completing radiotherapy.
Next PSA test will be in six months.
