What remedies help with post Covid cough?
I'm three to four weeks past COVID and still have cough (during the day) I sleep ok without coughing. Lungs seem to be clear, the cough is more bronchial producing expectorant. Cough remedies (except honey) don't seem to work.

I had to get a round of prednisone and that remedied it pretty much.
20 mg 2x day for 5 days then I used a nasal steroid for a month and antihistamines for 2 months. The cough and sticky gel like mucous is gone.
What is the brand name of Antihistamines that you use ?
Are you still coughing now ?
I had my Asthma under control with Trelegy inhale . After Covid , My Asthma got lot worse . Especially coughing at night . I've been treated with steroid , Nebulizer , It's been 3 weeks , hasn't improved .
I have a spirometer that I use regularly. I also have another exerciser that I use for my lungs that brings up phlegm. But the phlegm issue is more of a sinus issue.
In addition to the inhaler, I was using my flutter valve (sort of like a breathing kazoo) to help vibrate my lungs for awhile and it seemed to help. Also, intentional breathing to start breathing more deeply. Inhaling from a pan of hot water with a towel over my head helped. too.
I have been coughing since January 8, 2022. been on the nebulizer five times a day. Doctor started me on Spiriva two weeks ago and the second day lost my voice. Yesterday I saw him, he took my off and referred me to an ENT and my doctor will see me in two weeks to see if my voice is back. If it is he will try Trelogy. If not we hope the ENT. He also took some exrays of my throat. my cough is dry and vicious! Now I am totally incontinent. So depressing, 71 yrs old and gained 45 pounds since January from the prednisone for nine months! Finally off of it!
I had been using Trelegy for my Asthma for months and every thing was fine until I caught covid and a rebound Covid 1+ 1/2 months ago . I started coughing and wheezing badly and my body and especially my hands started having tremor . Dr Allergist gave me Prednisone 20 Mg for 5 days , 3 per day and Nibulizer 4 times a day and continue using Trelegy . Clonazepam 1 Mg , twice a day for tremor . So far all symptoms have gone 90% . I am ale to sleep and function almost like pre Covid . Thank God and my wonderful Allergist .
Had COVID-19 twice first COVID-19 got over with no problem with no immune because it was being suppress with medication related to stem-cell transplant however my second bout with COVID-19 left me testing positive and with a dry cough up to this day. When nurse tested me before three months, I showed up positive, I couldn't see other doctors for other medical issues in person. Medical assistances said I was positive with COVID-19, but I was not active with COVID-19 and had no active systems. Can someone help me out here is it true that if you have no immune system and you are tested before three months you will show up positive, but that do not mean you are active with COVID-19? I had researched this information on the web. I have four nodules and something that looks like ground glass noted from CT scan read by radiologist can this be from COVID-19? I'm going to be seeing the infectious control doctor is he the one I should be seeing or pulmonary doctor for my lungs?
