I’m relieved to hear she’s currently in the hospital. The oncologist will most likely order the bone marrow biopsy and from there they can determine if she has any mutations in her cells which may have contributed to her leukemia. With that knowledge the doctors can target her specific leukemia and treat it accordingly.

If she has an acute myeloid leukemia the treatment will be aggressive but it is generally affective in helping her reach remission.

We’re getting the cart before the horse at this point so please let me know as soon as you find out and we’ll work through this together. As you can see you and your wife will have some support here on Connect from people who have walked that walk.

I also know this is particularly stressful on caregivers. How are you doing?

Oncologist will check everything today ,immediately they find out if it's acute myeloid leukemia I'll inform you as soon as possible,
