I have been a caregiver to 2 spouses. My first husband is with Jesus and my 2nd husband has dementia, he will be 90 in November. I was younger as a caregiver with my first husband and being a caregiver was easier but still a lot of anxiety and frustration. Now i am 89, and have mobility issues myself. My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with dementia and was forced to retire from his business which was a Certified Public Accountant. He owned his company. So for 3 years now I have struggled to continue to display the fruits of the Holy Spirit in me. I am continually in The Word of God. Today i heard from a wonderful Christian sister who is struggling as a caregiver also. That has given me a drive to perhaps start a Christian caregiver group in our church

Hi Sister Jean sounds like your a very caring person and as a Heart Transplant patients myself my wife was/is my caregiver and was such a great help during my transplant days. I'm almost 5 years now and we help each other. And I applaud your wanting to start a group like that at your Church. I myself had to retire also and I'm only 63 now. But the good Lord has found me a new profession. Teaching at my Church and online. So when the Lord closes one door he opens another. God Bless you and keep studying in the word.
