Just diagnosed with Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma: What to expect?
I was just diagnosed with this uterine cancer. I am 68 and I'm so freightened. Waiting to see doctor for hysteroctomy. This is all I know. I had a biopsy done and this is the result. Anyone please let me know what ro expect and do before hand and any suggestions are embraced. ❤

I play games and do puzzles on my IPad and have a wonderful Fiance’ and TeddyBear dog who is being by my side and close friends. How did yours turn out?
@cheriels I'm so glad to hear you have support from your fiance, your loving dog, and your friends. Games and puzzles on your iPad sound like a good way to cope right now.
I had a laparoscopic robotic radical hysterectomy with everything taken including ovaries and fallopian tubes. It was amazing as I was in and out in the same day. My surgeon and the whole team was reassuring. I felt so cared for in the pre-op area and by the nurses in my post-op room. The cancer was staged 1a which is as good as it gets.
Will you let me know when your appointment at Mayo in Rochester is scheduled?
Hi
Yes I will, should get a call tomarrow or the next day and if I don’t here from them call them ASAP.
Mine was Figo grade 3 what does grade 3 mean?
@cheriels FIGO is an abbreviation for The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The pathologist looks at your cells that were from your initial biopsy under a microscope and then describes what the cancer cells according to what they look like. Your pathology report assigned Grade 3. You can read about it here.

Here is another Mayo Clinic Connect discussion that mentions FIGO stage and surgery.

Does this help? What other questions do you have?
Hello @cheriels . I hope you have found a few ways to help with your racing mind; it isn't easy, is it? Like you, I had no symptoms except for the bleeding. I hope you're able to get more answers as soon as possible, and am glad you're here with the rest of us. Let any of us know what other questions you have; we don't have the answers so much as probably a similar experience that may be helpful to you as you start your road at Mayo.
Thank you all! I am so happy to have found and joined this site. I just lost my brother on May 18th this year after being caregiver to him for the last 3 years and was the only family left so I had a beautiful funeral for him, and had to get to his house ready for auction and now have people buying his house just so thankful all of this happened now and not while my Brother was still alive. So stress has been with me for along time and I am telling my self and praying to God he seen me get through the caring and loss of my Brother he will get me through this!, and being on here now reading all your stories and conquering this that I will to. Thank you all for being here to help me!
Oh, my dear! What a loss you've suffered. I am so sorry. Honestly, I am continually surprised at how hard these past three years have been for people, and on top of a pandemic, too. I'm glad you find comfort and hope in your faith, and I also hope you have friends that you can depend on. One of the cliches about hard times that I found to be true is that you find out who your friends really are. This is not to be feared, but to be grateful for (at least in my opinion). And now you have this group as virtual friends, so don't forget that we're here.
Thank you so ever much! Means a lot to me and I will be here for everyone else and we will all get through this together! Hugs to you all!
Hi to all! I have a appointment next Tuesday at Rochester at 3:00pm to discuss my options and how we will proceed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
