Sleep apnea numbers spiked post COVID

Posted by kudzu @kudzu, Aug 16, 2022

My ahi has jumped from 5 or less to the 9’s post covid even with the pressure raised to 15/19. I used a Resmed Airsense 10 apap.
Has anyone else noticed this?

@kudzu, The only time I've notice a spike with my AHI has been when I had a stuffy nose or issues with my mask. I use a ResMed AirMini with full face mask. Sleeping on my back normally gives me higher numbers also so I try to sleep on the my sides as hip pain allows.

Well, I may have congestion left over. I don’t notice too much difference with position change.
What kind of mask issues? Leaks?

Yes, mine were leaks and sometimes just to tight trying to fix the leaks which made me struggle even more.
