Very scary!!

I guess the comments re the antidote for Eliquis (cost and need for facility proximity) must be the same for Xarelto and all the oral blood thinners.

I must check this out. If this is true (re unavailability of antidote) I certainly think that would outweigh the stroke avoidant advantages of the blood thinner.
15% of strokes after all are hemorrhagic , besides which with age, fall risk increases (and hence head injuries).

I certainly think any responsible cardiologist should take this cost/benefit into consideration when prescribing an AFIB patient with a blood thinner!

but they don't...know a cardiologist who always prescribed Eliquis with little thought about it...just found himself in a condition that required him to take Eliquis. He was stunned at the price and figured he could somehow work around the cost...he found he could not outside of
ordering it from Turkey or India and taking the risk of fake pills. So...Pfizer saves our lives with the Virus Vaccine while killing us with the cost of its little Eliquis pill...four can easily fit on a dime!
