@kaye4c

I gained all of the weight I lost during the height of the pandemic. I’d had a gastric sleeve in 2017 and had “only”gained back 30 of the 100lbs I’d lost until 2020. I also have a number of other health conditions, but it is beyond frustrating that all of the weight is back.

Welcome @kaye4c, I've struggled most of my life with weight and can definitely understand your frustration gaining the weight back. I haven't had weight loss surgery but have found that intermittent fasting and low carb healthy fat eating has helped me keep the weight off. There is another discussion that you may find helpful --- Low-carb healthy fat living. Intermittent fasting. What’s your why?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/low-carb-healthy-fat-living-intermittent-fasting-whats-your-why/.

I also found this article that you might helpful - How to Keep the Weight Off After Bariatric Surgery: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/how-to-keep-the-weight-off-after-bariatric-surgery/.

@grandmar may have some suggestions or thought to share with you also. Have you discussed your weight gain with your doctor to see if they may have some suggestions?

Kaye, same issue here. Was sleeved in late 2015 and lost 125lbs over the following 12 months. Maintained that weight for the next year, but did not undertake any physical exercise during that time. Come the pandemic, I hibernated for nearly 2 years and fell back into my "grazing" routine (eating small snacks pretty much all day and into the late night.) As a result, I have regained 30lbs and went from wearing 2X to 3X shirts and added 2 inches to my waist. I know I have a food addiction/eating disorder...which is what got me to the 450lbs I was at before surgery.

I am now seeking counseling to address the overeating and hopefully avoid further weight gain or the need for bypass surgery.
