@deb2018

My husband had a “heart attack” Sunday night. During the heart catheter they discovered he has a myocardial bridge and that’s what caused the issues Sunday night. We are looking for direction on who to speak to and see for treatment and care. Any help would be most greatly appreciated. None of the doctors in the ER had ever heard of a myocardial bridge. So we definitely want to connect with a group that is familiar with this condition

Hi @deb2018 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am so sorry to hear about your husband's heart attack. That can be very scary to go through. I moved your post here: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/myocardial-bridging/?pg=2#comment-719962 so that you can engage with members that have been through similar situations.

Have you looked into Mayo Clinic? Where are you located?

Just joined the group. I hope everything went well with your husband. Myocardial bridging, from what I was told, is not very common. My local hospitals and Drs felt my symptoms were anxiety until I went unresponsive. In April 2018 I was fortunate enough to see a Dr at Mayos that quickly diagnosed severe left side myocardial bridging. I had open heart surgery at 48 yrs old within the week.
