Foot neuropathy: What gives you relief?
It seems if I get enough activity/exercise daily I don’t have pain; if not, am awakened from sleep and must get up (even in the middle of the night). What’s going on & what more should I do to avoid rest-disruption?

I have a friend who now has no knee pain and her other discomforts are improved or gone...since sleeping on a grounding mat!
Haven't tried it yet...thinking about it and maybe a grounding pillow case too. Anyone have ideas?

I just had last month 2 iron infusions, since my iron FERROUS level was at 15 1 year ago, 27 this year after a year of iron supplement w/C. My sleep doc tested the ferrous level re sleep apnea and severe RLS.
Ferrous needs to be at 75+ per doc to help w/ RLS.
Now, it's 88! Highest probably in many years . No RLS. I also take Requip at bedtime. It helps a lot with RLS, PN, and daytime Parkinsons symptoms. Taking iron supplement now.
I haven't had this kind of intern energy, from inside not forced mentally...for years. I'm a very different version of myself now. Soooo thankful.
Be sure the doc cks your FERROUS level. My hemocrit and hemoglobin are always perfect! 12, 13...ferrous level test is a special test, not usually included in bloodwork.
Wishing you we. This has changed my whole life, and outlook on life.
Hoping this helps...blessings on this journey...elizabeth
I have migraine medication that has caffeine as a main ingredient. This medicine works wonders with my migraines brought on by storms. I will pay more attention to what happens to my neuropathy when I use that medicine in the future, most likely tonight.
Hi Elizabeth,
I'm so glad that your Restless Leg Syndrome is gone. There is another person on here that also was low on Iron and it fixed his RLS too. I was so hoping that this was my problem too, so my Neurologist at 5he time sent me to get my levels checked. Turns out that my Iron level were good. He gave me Iron to take anyway but it didn't do any good, gave me diarrhea and stomach cramps, so I stopped after almost 2 weeks.

Hi Lizzy,
I also take iron supplements. I take it on an empty stomach with a glass of orange juice. Vitamin C help the absorption of iron.
Congrats!!

Well, important fact about taking iron supplements is it must be taken with vitamin C, for proper absorption and tolerance. I took on doc orders OTC Vitron-C. Back on it now. Could not take iron at all since pregnant with my 54 year old son. Remember, thus is Ferrous... not hemoglobin or hemocrit.
❤ 😍 💖 it that something good has happened and life is better!
May it help you too...blessings, elizabeth
@jakedduck1 and all...where's the message I sent you last night????

Can you get them on amazon ?
I have not seen any true "circuwear" socks on Amazon. The have one Diabetic" sock, but I have never tried them.
I hope you find what works for you!
I have had numbness in the feet and left hand since taking chemo for cancer. The best relief I have found is taking a gabapentin (100mg) at bedtime and rubbing on Mineral Ice. The feet seem to bother me most at night and this combination gives me some relief in order to get to sleep.
