Effexor Dosage
I have been on Effexor 75mg Cymbalta 30mg and Pregabalin 150mg combine for several mnths for Generalized Anxiety that I am having problems controlling due to Peri-Menopause. My Dr last week upped Effexor to 150mg due to onset of symptoms. It is now day 7 and the side effects are more than last week. Very anxious and shaking. Should I ask to lower dose? Or is this something that will pass. I’ve never had side effects last this long. Could it be too high of an increase in one shot?

@c411d, I am happy to hear that you have some other ways to deal with your GAD. It's a good thing to have multiple resources in order to put anxiety at bay. Congratulations on being involved with cognitive behavior therapy. CBT is a great way to re-think the triggers that can lead to anxiety and depression. Connect has a discussion group where members talk about their experiences with CBT. Menopause and peri-menopause are difficult times, but it sounds as if you are getting a handle on it, @c411d. I'm glad that you were able to get a reduction on your meds, I hope that this makes a difference for you.
I look forward to hearing from you again. Will you post again with an update?
Thank you. Yes I will post again
I’ve asked my Dr and they do pose similar risks and even though some things are natural they can alter the meds that I have already been on for my pre existing anxiety disorder. I have to be cautious of what I take
