Art for Healing
Kudos to the Montreal Museum of Fine Art for allowing physicians to write prescriptions for free admission to the museum. And kudos to Mayo Clinic for its art program. From the beginning, Mayo Clinic believed that art can uplift patients and foster healing. Whether it's Rochester, Jacksonville or Scottsdale, Mayo Clinic displays a wide range of artwork for patients. The Rochester site published a brochure for a self-guided tour of artwork. I live in Rochester and every time I'm at Mayo, I take the time to look at the artwork.

My doodle art will be on exhibit for another two months. (It's been up for two months already.)
@harriethodgson1 Thanks! I love them and great to see you too!
Love your art. Art is therapy and contributes to coping with health challenges. Good for you!
Beautiful art! Thank you for sharing.
Hello @artgirl2,
I just noticed this discussion thread and see that you are looking for an art and healing group. There is one in my area, however, I live in SE Michigan. I don't know where you live but you might google "Art and Healing near me" and see where it takes you.
The Art and Healing group in Michigan is connected with the cancer support group in a large hospital/medical center in my area. You might check out the American Cancer Society (ACS) in your locale and see if they know of any groups like this. The ACS has a lot of information for those who are dealing with cancer. If you have a Gilda's Support Group nearby, they might also be able to guide you to a group.
Will you keep me posted on what you find?
I just love your doodle art, Harriet! You use bright colors and I enjoy the energy that comes from the pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the boost Teresa. My latest doodle art pictures are full of color. I love this art form and think my love is visible in the pictures.
Yes, I do agree with you , Harriet!
What a very good idea, Teresa. I am so grateful for the volunteers in this entire Mayo Connect community. Each note is read and responded to in a kind and supportive way. It has helped me so much and I think it is so what our world needs now. Thank you and yes, I will let you know what I find. 🙂
I agree, @artgirl2. Our world needs more kindness and gentleness. I'm glad that Connect has helped you!
