recovery takes time. stay encouraged- it does get better- but it is called long haul for a reason- recovery is not quick. be patient, make sure she gets plenty of rest, and walk. good luck and God bless.
I think her getting off the 02 sooner than later may have contributed to her brain fog. her husband was the reason she probably got off of it sooner. he would carry the concentrator up and fown the stairs every am and bedtime. she also admitted to taking it off when he was around.... she had 2 extreme prognosis.... at discharge from hospital and then when she saw her PCP for followup visit. after 3 months she finally had a PFT which showed minimal diffusion issue and did much better after nebulizer. so she is telling folks she has some asthma. I encouraged her to do a nebulizer first thing in am to start the day, but she's willing to use inhaler as needed instead. and she's finally calling to have the 02 concentrator (plus portable 02) removed from her home. she's been back to work for 3 weeks, 2 days a week. next week it will be 3 days a week.
thanks for ur input!
