Posted by bsluvsrc2008 @bsluvsrc2008, Dec 21, 2011

I am 34 and I was involved in a real bad car wreck on feb 20th,2011 the truck i was in rolled five times. ever since then i have been having real bad headaches on the right side of my head and sometimes numbness there, my dr here in wv is a dumb butt and does not believe i was in a car wreck cause the wreck happened in tn even though i have showed him the proof. all ct scans that i have had done has came back not showing anything i am wondering what is going with my head i was told by a dr in tn that i have post concusion syndrome and i am wondering how to cope with this. everything that happens is just on the right side of my head.

Hi - I am sorry to hear you are having some problems. I am not sure if you are aware of this but Mayo Clinic does have some information online about post concussion syndrome and concussions in general. It is available here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/post-concussion-syndrome/DS01020

Also, if you would like to request an appointment to see a Mayo Clinic physician, please click on the Request an Appointment button on the top right of the page.

I hope you feel better soon!

I was also involved in an auto accident. I was rear ended, very little damage to my car. You need to see a Neurologist and get a referral to a dr. that specializes with head trauma. Most of these types of injuries do NOT show up on MRI's and other scans. Unless you find the right dr. they might not believe you. The first dr. I saw told me I didn't have a concussion. I did and continue to experience "post concussion syndrome". Sometimes Cognitive Therapy via a Speech Pathologist helps. (They deal with brain issues). See if you can find a Brain Injury Support Group. There is one in every state. They can provide a great deal of information.
