Low Back Pain Going into Hip and Leg
I have had 5 surgeries/fusions on my back and neck. I have not been able to get out of pain. I have lower right back pain, goes into my hip and into right leg. They think it might be my hip now, but doctor took and xray of hip a d they looked fine, he said. So I am in a position where I'm on pain meds and dont know who to see that can help me. I need help be a use of the pain when I get up. I also have pain in between shoulder blades which is secondary to my right lower back. I have had MRI done and they do not see what it may be... I'm just tired of being in pain with no life. I know God sent me to this site to find out options. Can someone help?

I went for a fluoroscopic shot procedure yesterday for my hip. I couldn't believe I had no pain all night, and only a little today. She said when the lidocaine wears off, I may have pain until the steroid kicks in, which could be a few days. Has anyone has anything like this?
Hey Lori, that sounds fantastic. I move your post to this discussion so the other members you've been sharing with like @rwinney @betterway so they can celebrate your pain-free sleep and success.

Lori, I'm so happy that you have pain relief. What is the plan after the injection for continued success?
Have his books too. His points regarding unexpressed anger make good sense to me. I best return to his writings as I too need a good kick you know where!
I am young 60 or I was before the injury and the pain. I really pace my self now. Slow and in bits and pieces with alot of breaks and ice packs. I still try, often to my own detriment. Even though it hurts like. I try and suck it up.
@loribroda Hi Lori. How are you feeling since your shot a few days ago? Was this your first experience with flouroscopic injections? I have had a few in my day. What is your opinion of them?
I have been pain free, in my hip, since the shot. I have had shots in my hip years ago, not sure if they were fluoroscopic injections. The thing that hurt the most, was the lidocaine injections...LOL I go back in 4 to 6 weeks! My team was exceptional, caring and pretty cool!
@loribroda I'm so happy for your success, Lori!
You and me both! It's nice to sleep and wake up with no hip pain!
The lidocaine injection hurt more than the steriod! lol I am still pain free in my hip, but i still get pain shooting down my leg to my knee and ankle. I will definitely get it again. I can actually walk without it feeling like my leg is going to give out. Thanks for your concern, I really appreciate it!
