Lichen Simplex Chronicus: What treatments did you receive?
I Posted early in Jan about a rash on Gammagard. Internist sent me to Derm, my regular doctor wasn't available didn't think I needed a biopsy gave me an RX for cortisone cream, didn't help. Saw the Rheumatologist didn't know what was going on. He suggested a biopsy. Hematologist thinks it was Gammagard. He also suggested a biopsy. I went back to the Dermatologist and saw my regular doctor for a biopsy, came back as Lichen Simplex Chronicus and referred me back to Rheumatologist. Has anyone been diagnosed with Lichen Simplex Chronicus and what treatment did you receive?

No, photos above relate to a diagnosis of lichen schlerosis
Got it, thanks!
Have you been to a good dermatologist?
Update. Since November these red marks have morphed in to tight bands of scaly skin. Another trip to dermatologist, another biopsy, this time on my lower back. I’m being referred back to my rheumatologist for possible systemic immunosuppressant.
Kate, I appreciate the update, but share your disappointment that it is not yet resolved. I’m hopeful that your dermatologist and rheumatologist are working together to find a solution.
As of today, after 15 months on a weekly dose of 20mg methotrexate, my dermatologist and rheumatologist and I agree that quieted down all extra-genital inflammation and new lesions! I’ll see my gyn in a couple months and see what she thinks from her point of view.
