Hi
Everything that you've described sounds exactly what I'm going through right now. All the conventional trats have come back negative. I've been told I have a functional disorder not a mechanical one. Meaning my abdominal motility is out of each without a physical reason. Did you find any answers or solutions. I've tried all the things you've listed and now resorting to hydromorph which I dont want to be taking.
Google ‘functional dyspepsia’
That’s a real diagnosis. Maybe you’ll find yourself in that disorder
I agree with the suggestion to find a homeopathic doctor or naturopathic or functional medicine doctor. I had digestive issues and after 3 endoscopies due to GERD, gas, bloating, fatigue and no diagnosis of cause, I found a functional medicine doctor. She’s an MD that turned to functional medicine after a family member couldn’t get an accurate diagnosis. You can find one by city and state at ifm.org. Find one that specializes in abdominal issues.
I have had same GI issues as you do for last four years. I watch my diet and get better but then I start eating pastry and bacon(sometimes) and coffee, and pain returns. But, now, pain does not go away even with diet. I am on strict diet like your. Have been to different GIs and surgeons and lots of test. I have pain right in the middle where two ribs meet. Had nausea for few months but now I am fine. I still have pain after eating. I am having a test done called Endoflip. They use a catheter with a small balloon to look at my esophagus and also to check LES, Lower Esophageal Sphincter to see if opens and closes when food goes down in esophagus.
Rarely, food gets stuck in my esophagus. I have a small hiatal hernia as well. I think going on a strict diet and staying on that diet forever helps me sometimes. I am also having a 24 hour probe done. They place a probe with camera through nose inside esophagus for one day to see if I have acid or non acid reflux.
Four months of MAJOR suffering. Only symptom was pain, mostly in the right side but radiating and even shooting all over abdomen even into hip bones. All types of pain, including feeling of outward pressure, heat, buzzing, burning sometimes. No other symptoms. Never had GI issues, especially acid.
Lots of CTs, ultrasounds, blood, urine, gall bladder tests. Colonoscopy came back clear -- surprise. Endoscopy at same time showed major inflammation of duodenum and some ulcers in there. Awaiting biopsy results: perhaps pylori, perhaps malignant, perhaps simply acid-damaged.
May this help someone.
Hi! I’ve had abdominal pain specifically on my lower left side for about a year now. This came out of no where and one day I woke up with his pain. I thought I was constipsted so I started taking all these laxatives and they weren’t really working. I tried drinking miralax and that didn’t really work either. I would drink it every morning and night everyday for weeks. It occasionally is on my right side and it’s really bad to the point where I get episodes and it’s this really sharp cramping pain and I can’t walk and it radiates to my back down my left leg. The pain is always there and never goes away no matter what I do. I think it’s gas pains and constipation but even if I pass gas or go to the bathroom the pain doesn’t fully go away. It’s like period cramps X10. I’ve gotten a colonoscopy, endoscopy (they told me I have a little gastritis), I’ve gotten SIBO testing, 2 stool tests and a bunch of other blood work and everything is negative. I’ve tried all the pain killers, my doctor even proscribed me these pills for muscle relaxation and it didn’t work. Nothing I take really works and I just want an answer or something that will help with this pain. I’ve been taking laxatives, miralax, Metamucil, and now I’m on linzess and it’s been 2 weeks and it’s sort of helping but the pain is still there. I’m wondering if I should stop everything and see if it gets any better. I’m also trying all the natural remedies to “heal my gut” but even eating right isn’t doing it for me.
Have you had any abdominal surgery or injuries to your abdomen?
