What’s the latest on Muscle Pain Relief for Transplant Recipients?

Posted by joko @joko, Jan 16, 2022

What's the latest advice on muscle pain? Has the advice changed on acetamenaphin exclusively? No aspirin. No NSAIDs . Have a chronic rotator cuff issue and physical therapy helps some but last week rejoined a yoga class with some windmill action and overstressed it. Acetamenaphin doesn't seem to touch it.

@joko, Ouch! and Good for you to be able to rejoin your fitness routine. To my knowledge, acetaminophen is still the approved OTC. However, I have seen in my post transplant notes an asterisk that says others. with the approval of your transplant team.
I'm sorry for the delayed response. If it is still bothering you, I suggest that you make contact with your transplant nurse.
PS - Does this get you out of shoveling snow?

Yes. Only lite-weight snow permitted until March 31. I'll check with the transplant people. Thanks.
