I've had 3 cancers: Thyroid cancer, Lung Cancer and Breast Cancer
Why does it seem once you get one of these cancers thyroid cancer, lung cancer or breast cancer you all 3? I have had all 3 it started with the thyroid then the lung and next breast. The online lung cancer support group I follow it seems like a large amount of them have also had all three. But yet most drs say it’s not related and my drs don’t have an answer, I’m very curious

Hi mssewest. No they didn't remover anything from my liver. They use a catheter in the leg to shoot radiation beads directly into the carcinomas inside the liver. Nothing but a little needle stick. I'm not any meds for it, they are still there but dead. I think a lot of cancer centers are doing the Y90 treatment, I had mine done at UCMedical Center, affiliated with the University of Colorado in Denver (that's where I'm located) by an Interventional Radiologist recommended by my hepatologist. I have cirrhosis of the liver brought on by Hep C and that's what spun off the tumors (I call them she devils). Lets just pray your other nodules are just nodules. The Y90 might be worth asking your doc about. Diane
Mssewest, Y90 is also know as radioembolization. Like @digibson said, it is offered at most leading cancer centers.
Thank you
