Please don't feel that you are powerless in the face of such an allergy.

If you test seriously allergic to any substance, they will teach you about how to respond. Wr have lived with dangerous allergic reactions for 30 years, and managed them all. The keys are knowing what to do, having your meds on your person, and responding immediately. Also teaching people around you.
