We all celebrate milestones in our lives with our lived ones and friends - Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations.....with a wide range of special traditions.
After you have received your transplant, your Gift of Life, and you reach the yearly milestones for that miraculous event, have you thought about celebrating your Transplantiversary?

@athenalee, When I had my 10th anniversary checkup at Mayo, I asked my transplant doctor what I needed to do to live another 10 years. His reply was, "Take your medications. Get your routine labs. No alcohol." I can do that ❤

My transplantiversary falls on the day between my wedding anniversary and my oldest son's birthday. So it's a big celebration anyway. I honestly celebrate it every day 🥳

Yesterday I celebrated my 15th Transplant Anniversary!
It was a day for reflection and remembering the events of that special day. It was a day for honoring the deceased individual and his family who made the decision to save a life. It was a day to remember early recovery when my son called out, "Mom, You're not yellow anymore!"
My husband and I went out for dinner. Lfe is Good!

Congratulations, Rosemary! What a remarkable milestone of life to celebrate. It’s very humbling when you know your life is possible because of a very difficult decision by a loved one’s family. You’re doing them proud, Rosemary, with your gracious positivity, your encouragement for anyone in need and your compassionate nature. This young man’s legacy lives on through you. Happy transplantiversary. ☺️
