What may I ask does titration mean? I have tinnitus brought on by taking the Blood pressure medication Metoprolol. I'm getting a new primary care doctor in January, and will be asking her alot of questions. In the last 10 months I've experienced A-fib, breast cancer, c-diff brought on by chemotherapy, along with neuropathy. Right breast mastectomy and soon to have reconstructive surgery(implants).

Titration is a term physicians use when providing instructions for a gradual reduction in medication over an extended period of time. In other words, a doctor provides the patient with a schedule to follow in order to withdraw safety from a medication. The schedule would provide how many times per day and/or at what hourly intervals the medication would be taken by the patient. The gradual reductions would occur over a number of days, weeks or months which the doctor will determine as appropriate for the specific medication.

I'm sorry your having to deal with so much. Wish I had an answer for you. Best of luck with everything and prayers to you.
