Want to help Mayo Clinic improve our Breast Cancer website?

Looking for 2 volunteers

From time to time, I get requests from my colleagues for patient and caregiver feedback to help us improve things at Mayo Clinic.

Mayo Clinic will like to improve how information about breast cancer is presented on Mayo Clinic's website mayoclinic.org. We want to make is easier to navigate. The focus will be on the design of the page, not the specific text and information. We are conducting research sessions to get patient and caregiver feedback. This is phase 2. Some of you already participated in phase 1.

The interview sessions will be held virtually with the design researcher on your smartphone or computer. You will be asked to share your screen during the interview. You are not required to have your video camera on (optional).

The sessions will be 40 minutes long. We are looking to conduct the sessions between mid-October, 2021 during business hours. This research is voluntary, and you can leave the study at any time.

If interested, please comment below or send me a private message.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this project to improve Mayo Clinic's Breast Cancer website and how we present information that is easy to navigate and relevant.

We spoke to patients and caregivers in different stages of the patient journey.

We conducted nine interviews in October 2021 with individuals who have been diagnosed with myeloma or breast cancer. We spoke to patients, spouses, and caregivers. We learned about various experiences and perspectives from those familiar with Mayo Clinic and those who are not.

Your feedback helped Mayo Clinic:
- Identify information that needs clarification on the treatment timeframe and the specialized care team.
- Understand the value of patient testimonial videos regarding relatability and understanding of personal treatment experiences at Mayo Clinic.
- Understand a video's role in helping viewers understand what Mayo Clinic's integrated team looks like for patient care.
- Identify opportunities to group related content for a better flow.

With gratitude,
Colleen, Connect Director, and Eralee, Senior User Experience Researcher

Apologies, Windyshores. I don’t remember now why your name wasn’t included. I’ll add your name to the list for future projects. Might this be something you could contribute to?

I am grateful to Mayo for the info I was able to access when I was diagnosed.
