Looking For A Hotel Suggestion: Mayo Rochester, MN
I have an appointment scheduled for mid December at the Rochester Clinic and I’m looking for just the right hotel. My wants and needs:
1) Covered parking and it needs to be readily accessible - I do not travel light😉;
2) I’m a walker so I don’t need to be right across the street and I’m a Minnesota gal so I can handle the weather, but I do want to be able to walk to my appointments;
3) I’m a germaphobe. I travel with my own bedding, hence the need to be able to get things from my car. I know. I’m weird. We own two small inns in Florida so let’s just say I’m very well aware of hospitality standards. No matter where I stay, any time I travel, I always leave the room much cleaner than when I checked in.
It’s a short list, but weirdly specific. I’d like a fridge in the room, but I do not need a kitchenette. I don’t eat breakfast so that’s not a concern either.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No, Minnesota.
Just adding my experiences here. We have had good, solid service, etc. at the various Hilton properties in Rochester. Clean, friendly, and accommodating for sure.
I’m sorry, no. This thread is about hotels convenient to the Rochester clinic.
Thank you.ang
Thanks!
We stayed at The Kahler Grand. We had room issues twice. First was no hot water for shower so we moved, second was no ability to adjust room temperature so it was stuffy & pretty warm & uncomfortable sleeping. Bathrooms are very small with no where to put your toiletries. No snack vending machines. Not all floors have ice machines that work. Multiple elevators out of order. It was convenient for access to Mayo Clinic subway floor & to parking garage. Needs more signage right off the elevators for direction to room number. Overall would probably not stay there again if possible. Hotel options below.
Agreed, The Kahler Grande has flaws. I got a room with only a shower and the shower only had a fixed shower head and no bar to hang onto if one slipped.
