Pregnant, diabetic, or dehydrated?

Posted by morriganmarie01 @morriganmarie01, Oct 6, 2021

I am 20 yrs old. 5'4" and 220 lbs. I am experiencing frequent urge to urinate, urine that smells similar to ammonia, I am slightly nauseous almost all day, have heartburn and acid reflux, and fatigue. My period are never regular so I don't normally take pregnancy tests when things seem strange because in all honesty I don't think I can get pregnant in the first place. I am wanting a professional opinion.

@morriganmarie01 Hello and welcome to Connect. You would be right to get a professional opinion. Connect is a place for patients to share experiences, but it is not staffed by doctors. Do you have a primary care provider? Symptoms like the frequent need to urinate and a change in smell may indicate a bladder infection. If you think you are dehydrated, drinking water will help.

Do you have a doctor you can call?

No, I do not have a PCP because my insurance is through my state so they are not very good about getting my info changed and such when I call them. I've been trying for a year and a half now.
