What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@loribmt, Thanks for sharing these beautiful reminders that it's Fall which is my favorite time of year! Absolutely stunning images.
Were these beautiful views accompanied by the aroma my husband calls "It smells like fall"? We breathed it deeply when we were walking in the state park last week, but it hasn't reached us yet.
Beautiful!
Thank you, John. Mother Nature poses and I snap the pics. Can’t take any more credit than that. ☺️
There are days, Laurie, when I’m in a complete sensory overload with the glory of nature.
Love the country road looking pics. Thanks for sharing your talent.
@loribmt Gorgeous pictures, Lori! I just love this time of the year.
Out our back window, the trees that line the creek running less than 100 yards from the house, are showing off. The many shades of green based on the tree type [lots of timber trees, plus maple] and a brilliant orangey-yellow foliage in the middle of it all. To our south side, in the empty lot, the madrone trees are starting to lose their leaves, showing both a silver madrone wood, and the more common red based trunk. As the trees on our property drop their leaves, we are mulching them up for the neighbor across the street, who will envelop her beautiful plants under them for the winter. My yellow rose bush is gasping out one last flush, as is the geranium! The deer have discovered the tufts of late season grass that sprouted in the last rain, setting off the motion-detector several times a night. And skunks are making their rounds [as known by the odiferous trail they leave!].

@gingerw. You wrote a lovely visual for us, Ginger. Didn't even need pictures!
This morning, as I opened the picture window curtain that leads onto front porch, a little gray head popped up. A youngish gray cat that my husband nicknamed "Mittens" was asleep on the chair. It is cool and drizzly this morning. His reaction is to place some loose kibble on the chair, as opposed to a bowl on the ground where the skunks and fox will get to it. We'll see how this progresses...
