Expanding circular rashes

Posted by bhebugs @bhebugs, Oct 4, 2021

My son is 6 years old and he was admitted into the hospital because he wouldn't stop vomiting and threw out whatever he digested. Then after that, he started getting rashes on his neck, back, and stomach. After 2 days, the rashes spread throughout the body that look like rings. It started small then expands to more than 3inches after a day. My always active son was now sleeping most of the time which is quite worrying. Even his pedia was worried and doesn't know what it is and refered me to another doctor. Can someone know what this is? I've attached photos.

I am sorry your son is so ill, it is a heartbreaking situation when a child suffers. Unknowns are the worst. The one thing that kind of comes to mind besides a possible food allergy is scombroid poisoning, had your boy eaten fish in the 24 hours prior? Is there a children’s hospital near you?

Thank you for the reply. It's so hard to see him like this and I don't know what causes it. I doubt that the cause of his rashes is fish since ha hadn't eaten fish for a very long time. He has a developmental disorder and is very averse to some types of food, especially fish. His rashes now became lacy and frequently changes places. He keeps vomiting and is always sleepy.

Is your son at a children’s hospital or a teaching center?
