Hi Peach @peach414144, I'm glad you are stubborn and do not give up. Did Shand's tell you the service for accepted patients has been cancelled? I was wondering if they may have backup volunteers that provide transportation for patients. If not, I wonder if you could call local government social services to see if transportation might be available. I know there are volunteer organizations here in Minnesota that provide transportation for critical healthcare services for folks that are not able to drive or don't have family to help.

I started a response to you and somehow it got lost. Any way here we go again. you need to know that you have always been very helpful (As well as many others on this site.) I have been trying to get help for about three years since the "Low Vision". The Paratransit for Marion county can only transport within Marion county. My health insurance is excellent except for transportation. I found out about Shand's transport because of the many calls I made over and over again. I will still continue to do so. I found (With great luck) a woman who transports me but it is costly and to go to Shand's is to far for her as she is also a senior. The pandemic is harming people in many, many ways. I really do need this help and cannot think of any more ways or places to go to. This is a matter of life or death. I am embarrased to write this. I thank you John.
