What's outside of your picture window today?

Posted by John, Volunteer Mentor @johnbishop, Nov 25, 2020

As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?

For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

I love your picture. Love the wild colors...my colors for sure. How long did it take you to do it? I find that kind of activity very relaxing. Don't you?
Good for us to spend that kind of quiet time within ourselves, even while you watch TV or chat or whatever....glad you are able to enjoy this!

Yes, sinus surgery next Thursday. It will go well , I am just a bit concerned about the
Anesthesia, breathing and waking up....it's required, so I'm sure all will be well....

@ess77 Remember Miss Elizabeth, you won’t be alone next Thursday. There’d better be lots of room in that OR because there’ll be a ton of us in there with you. 😉 You’re loved, ya know. Hugs!

Thank you so much. I will listen for your whispers and let the docs know you're there watching over me and helping them. Lori, didn't you have an angel on your pillow?

I have a small angel pin I think I 'll put on my gown...funny, this is a small surgery. I just need to put myself in His protective arms, feel the love .
Thanks, Becky. Bless you...Elizabeth

@loribmt etc
You are a special doll! I know you will all be there. I'll request a special, large OR!

You know, I just realized I haven't had surgery, other than eyelid lift so I could see...it worked! Since in my 40's and had emergency cancer abdominal surgery for a large grapefruit sized growth. Benign. But, difficult surgery with a long recovery and huge, nasty scar. I forgot about that surgery and the fears I had then must still be with me...wow! Aren't we humans strange people at times.

Well, guess I feel better now, all my friends! Thank you!
Bless you every one! Elizabeth

I live in southwest Oregon, this totally brown, smoky space is usually pretty green on the edge of an old growth forest. We live on the 5 corridor not the coast but still this is soooooo crazy this year.

So sad to see the devastation caused by the wild fires.

We are in a crazy drought, day after day more heat and smoke. These 12 cattle have live on this 2500 acre piece of land that includes some of the forest for years, just to keep the grass mowed and give the horses some interest in their life, but this year they will get fed some hay to get them into the rainy season.

Drought affects unending aspects of our everyday lives. May your cattle make it to the rainy season.
