Video chat for first visit about lung nodule

Hmm, I would say it means the doc is probably comfortable with the probable diagnosis based on imaging, or wants to talk to you about more testing before seeing you in person. What led to the referral?

My local Dr ordered a chest X-ray because I had a chronic cough,it showed a 6 mm opacity so then a ordered a Lung CT which said the 6mm wasn’t a concern any longer it’s just a shadow But the Lung CT did show a 9.5 mm ground glass nodule in the right lower lobe & was going me to a Pulmonologist but I called Mayo Clinic instead & had this local Dr to send my dr reports CT test results to Mayo after reading them they gave me a video appointment for this Tuesday , I’m wondering does that mean my case is not serious or what ?

I think that what you are experiencing is Mayo Clinic's returning back to video calls because of the surge of Delta variant of covid. I'm sure that it doesn't reflect on your case at all. I don't think that you would have gotten a video call so soon if they weren't taking you seriously.

I once had a finding on a CT that showed a shadow too, pretty scary, eh?

Your lesion is less than 1/2" so it has been found early. How long did you cough before you went to your doctor?

Hi ,yes it’s very scary, around July26,I went to the Dr on 8/2 & he took a chest X-ray & found a 6mm spot & ordered CT SCAN which showed a 9.5 mm ground glass nodule in the right lower lobe

I’m having a video visit today, I have no idea what he will say but I pray it’s good news🙏🙏🙏

I had my video chat yesterday,long story short it’s a wait & watch situation, the Dr is thinking it’s probably not the bad thing but he wants to take another CT SCAN in 3 months & see what happens. He was very nice & informative & patient & I liked his manner, so I’ll try to be patient & positive 🙏🙏🙏Thanks for being there, it’s nice to be able to to communicate with others on here & not have to announce to personal friends what I’m going through, I’m a private person when it comes to discussing my health
