Concussion and it’s symptoms
Has anyone had multiple concussions. I got my first one roughly 4 years ago, my second one in April, and then I lightly hit my head again in June. I was doing ok beside the odd headache but then 9 days after my second vaccine I passed out in my washroom and have been awful ever since, that was on July 13th. My anxiety has gone through the roof, I have depression symptoms that I have never had before, my head feels like it’s on fire, headaches, extreme nausea where I can hardly keep anything down, my body feels so weak and tired. I literally feel like I’m dying. Just wondering if anybody has had any of these symptoms and what did you take to help get better. I have been going to Physio 3 days a week, and I’m starting Physio tomorrow at a Physio clinic.

Thank you for the information about the MRA. I think with everything going on in my head, I am worried about what it will show. I have a lot of other diseases including a meningioma that I had Gamma surgery for 3 years ago. I keep telling myself that I will deal with the results. My motto is to "prepare for the worst and hope for the best".
Thank you for your help. Joan
I hope he is better. Joan
Hi @jen26 Sounds like the advice is for decreasing the chances for seizures. I hope this has helped him to feel better. Wish him the best in his recovery.
I've had 8 severe TBIs per Army definition (out for 15 minutes or more), had the MRIs, seen many neurologists, but just not a lot can be done for the brain. I have migraine headaches that only last short time, not enough to take the medicine. Have the nausea and vertigo. Seems like they are less frequent since I started gabapentin 6 years ago. If we were NFL quarterbacks, we could get lots of compensation.
I’m sorry your going through all of that. It’s been a difficult journey for me. Praying for some light at the end of the tunnel for us both.
I’m wondering if the vaccine played a part in worsening my pre existing symptoms from previous concussions.
I have not had an MRA. I will look into this. Thank you for your response.
@jmb73
I'm not sure. I have had a functional MRI (fMRI) which checks changes associated with blood flow. Doesn't MRA do that or so also?
I don't know how they differ or if it's the same thing with different names.
Are you going to have contrast?
I have had angiography done but it was done by using fluoroscopy to guide needles into my shoulder capsules for other imaging, usually CT.
No biggie at all. If your nervous about it ask your doctor to order a sedative but your just going to lie on a table and let the machine do it's thing, no pain.
Of course if you have contrast and/or a sedative except an injection but that's no biggie either. Try not to worry about it.
Are you Claustrophobic
Jake
Hi Jake, Thank you for your advice. I'm having the MRI with and without contrast and I have gotten Valium from my PC. I felt like a criminal as I had to show ID, sign a form and they checked my picture. All this for 3 pills! They said it was a narcotic. I have the MRI on Tues and the MRA on Fri. My PC said the MRA was to check my arteries. My husband got me a blue light filter for my computer and my grandkids got me blue light glasses. They don't work so I time myself and find I can stay on the computer for 5-6 minutes before the headache and nausea begin. So thank you again. Joan
I was leading a peachy, symptom-free life until a concussion in April 2018. Now I have vibrations, occasional night sweats, memory and other cognitive issues, dizziness, light headed, fatigue, sleep disturbances, gut inflammation, irritability, etc. (everything worse starting days before menstruation). Because they were just annoying for months, I finally saw a doctor when they got stronger. Saw a couple of ENTs and said there was nothing wrong with my ears. January 2019 I ended up in the ER the day after a night of partying because i felt like I was in a scene from the matrix and going to pass out. The ER said it was vertigo. BS. I got misdiagnosed with epilepsy and hypothyroidism in the following many months. MRI fine, EEG fine, and endocrinologist tested several times and no hypothyroidism. Saw a Neurologist and he originally said Clonezapam for 6 weeks to 6 months. A year later I told him I wanted to get off because I was having suicidal thoughts and started having double vision. The neurologist just let his physician's assistant see me at that point and went through a few months of trying a couple of shots in the thigh. Total January 2020 to August 2021 on Clonezapam. I used google to get off of it over a week and a half because the doctor's office was unresponsive when i messaged in the portal I had too many suicidal ideations and needed to get off the medication immediately. After withdrawals, I started feeling much better. Double vision gone and ideations almost went away completely. I wanted to return to my active lifestyle before I was tackled and landed on in kickball. The day after Thanksgiving 2021 I did a 12 mile hike at Government Canyon State Park with one water bottle (mistake I regret). Since then I have had vibrations throughout my body in mostly inconsistent manner (leg around the knee never stops, however) and my GI system is wrong; I gained 20 pounds (was 105 when I left Clonezepam).
