Reoccurring Nasal fissure that has actually deformed the nostril shape

Thank you for this reply. Yes I filled a script for a cream that is supposed to kill the bacteria for vestibulitus. My condition is not that unfortunately and was unsuccessful with the ointment many times.
I am in the care of GI doctors too, as well as colorectal surgeon keeping an eye on rectal fissure. I feel like I’m not getting real solutions with them just surgery recommendations. Surgery is very last resort for me in any medical situation. :(.

I just read your post about the nasal and rectal fissures you are experiencing. This does sound very frustrating and I can certainly understand your desire to avoid surgery. That is generally the last resort for most of us.

I'm wondering if you have considered visiting a multi-disciplinary health care facility? I'm thinking of perhaps a university medical school or one of the three Mayo Clinic facilities. Because these types of medical institutions are research-oriented they are often very good at putting the pieces of a complicated health problem together and giving a diagnosis.

Have you and a good doctor examined every single medication you take?
I ask because I took an anti-depressant medication years back and after 6 months I asked if painful white blisters inside my nose were from the medication. He said it was very rare, but took me off the meds.
I realize you are having a terrible time, I hope you can get to a new set of doctors to advise you before going through surgery.

I get these paper cut like fissures in exact same spot every November/December. Must be due to heating coming on and drying me out. Edge of nose hurts a lot and I apply almond or argan oil and keep in moist which helps. Your info was great to read for now I know I better seek help if it doesn’t go away. In past, I did have anal fissure and doctor ignored when I looked for help, and so it became an anal fistula which resulted in two surgeries.

I’m so very sorry you went through that! What could I do to avoid it becoming fistula? I have two different compound creams. I also have a cream from Emuaid. I feel really hopeless that this won’t heal and I don’t want to have rectal surgery! I just live constantly with this fissure. Should I avoid my regular exercise? What advice do you have?

When u call, if they don’t take ur insurance, ask for nearby recommendation.

Wellbutrin high doses. I believe another one also. I never knew to ask about side effects like that. Wellbutrin also caused gritting teeth, never knew.
