Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

Hi, I shared my results on May 24th post (4:46pm). If you can not find, please let me know. thanks
A UCLA endocrinologist I consulted said the apparent CV side effects are from a comparison of Evenity with a bisphosphonate, and it turns out that bisphosphonates actually reduce the risk of CV events rather than Evenity increasing the risk.
My Bone Density is -3.2, yours?
Your Bone Density?
Mine is -3.2 and my Doctor immediately put me on Prolia that is a Serious number
What was your Bone Density? mine -3.2 - serious enough for Prolia - did you search internet for side effects etc. of Evenity?
-3.5, and vertebral compression fractures. Sure, I looked at side effects, and the one that worries me most is jaw osteonecrosis, but that's also true of all bisphosphonates and Prolia. Only Forteo and Tymlos (and estrogen) avoid that specific side effect.
Okay yes thank you I see them now. I am 6 months into my year of Evenity. I Will have dexa in December. I think my hip is -2.3 and spine -2.7 before I started but I will post all of my before and after stats in December.
Fortunately I have had no side effects other than with the first dose when I had injection site pain and swelling. I am 46 years old. Had a stress fracture of the hip last year and that’s when I finally agreed to start a bone builder. My endocrinologist said you can continue to have improvement and bone building for many months after completion of evenity. Plan is to do reclast for 5 years after completion of evenity. She prefers this over prolia because she said I would have to stay on prolia for life vs only 5 years of reclast given my age

Hoping your scan shows improvement! Keep us posted.
Seems that your endocrinologist recommends the same continuing treatment with Reclast, so that’s reassuring.
Your BD is low enough to use other meds
