Thank you for the research articles. As a behavioral health specialist, I was gathering information on SGB before recommending it for PTSD treatment.

@cmbrow I will say that was rather sneaky. At least you fessed up as to why you are looking for information. At best I am bamboozled. Must be the PTSD.

I did my first block today. I haven't felt this great in years, my ptsd got so bad I also got FND so I have pseudo seizures. My pseudo seizures already arent nearly as intense or as long as they were.

Where did you get it done? What was the cost? How did it help you? I would love to chat with you- if you would be willing to email me?

I am wondering if Mayo will do this for PTSD?

Números trauma Events In My Life. I have research SGB for this and appreciate more information. My husband has full care with the VA center and this is where I have read information, however, a dependent is not eligible for treatment.

I had one SGB done for my complex PTSD about 9 months ago. It’s hard to say whether SGB itself helped. It was not earthshattering. I also had severe treatment resistant depression prior to the SGB.
(I’m much better now since ECT and rTMS. Knock on wood. But would not recommend ECT)

Why wouldn’t you recommend ECT if you are so much better now? I have been looking into it.

Because the rTMS worked so well.
Everyone is different. Try what you feel most comfortable with. My doctors said they have had good results from ECT. Unfortunately I wasn’t one of them and it was grueling to go through. I had 21 sessions which is ALOT. My doctor wanted me to do a few more and I said No. Good luck to you. Don’t give up because something is going to work for you!
