Covid-19 vaccine and LEEP
I will have a Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) in a short time with general anesthesia. Should I delay my first time COVID-19 vaccine ASTRA ZENECA if I am scheduled for procedure?

Hello @nikki377 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can see you are looking for information on your procedure and the COVID-19 vaccine. Because each person has varying medical backgrounds, it may be best to consult with your doctor to ensure he/she knows of your vaccination appointment and timing with regard to your procedure.
When is your procedure and was there any advice given to you proactively?

2 ReactionsHello,
Thank you for the answer. I'll have a procedure in about two or three weeks and the vaccination I'll get on Monday. I spoke with my doctor and he said that there is no need to delay a vaccination because of the procedure since there is at least 14 days between both. So I hope everything will be fine.

2 Reactions@nikki377 that is great news! Will you please come back and share more as your procedure comes near?
I had 2 astra Zeneca doses and have multiple issues with clotting and bruising. Is there a forum?
I’ve had problems with the bursa in my knees swelling after receiving the last three of the four Covid vaccine doses. Is there a forum for this?
