@gwinter- Good morning. I was put on Effexor for hot flashes and induced menopause and depression. It worked like a charm for me. My hot flashes were horrendous. They stopped almost immediately.

Have you started it as yet? WHat do you think?

Yes. I'm taking 37.5 mg daily of effexor generic. Significant reduction in hot flashes. I must add, however, that I also gave up coffee every morning and all alcohol. Caffeine and alcohol can trigger hot flashes. But I'm feeling much better ...and I was a wreck!!!
